Classroom Resources for Religious Education in Schools

Scripture & Violence is collaborating with the Cambridge Faculty of Education to develop resources and training in support of Religious Education in UK schools. In June 2022, the S&V team led a workshop for trainee teachers finishing an accelerated teacher training programme at the University of Cambridge. Participants explored ways of engaging with violent-sounding scriptural texts and discussed how such texts might be approached in RE classrooms. The workshop set the stage for Scripture &Violence initiatives to be further developed for school and educational settings in the future.
